In Beatrice and Gage County, animal control for stray pickup is handled through police dispatch. Animal control is responsible for calls regarding strays, injured domestic animals and bites. We have contracts with Gage county and the cities of Beatrice and DeWitt to take in and house strays and animals can be brought directly to our shelter during open business hours from those areas. City of Beatrice, please contact City of Beatrice police dispatch at (402) 223-4080.

Gage County please call Gage County Sheriff dispatch at (402) 223-5221. 

City of Dewitt please call the shelter at (402) 228-9100. 

If you are outside of those areas, please contact your local animal control facility.
